Central Silk Board JRF and Project Assistant Walk-in 2026 – Bengaluru
Central Silk Board (CSB), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, will hold a walk-in interview on 06 November 2026 at 10:00 AM at its Central Office, CSB Complex, BTM Layout, Madiwala, Bengaluru – 560068, for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Project Assistant (PA) on a contractual basis under the RCS Section. (Notification No. CSB/5(8)/2022-ES.II dated 16.10.2026.)
Project
“Value Chain Analysis and Efficiency Mapping of Mulberry Silk in India” (MTL 13004 MIC). The engagement is up to October 2027 or completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Junior Research Fellow – 01 post
- Qualification: MBA in Agribusiness Management, or M.Sc. in Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Agricultural Economics, or Agricultural Extension, from a UGC-recognised university.
- Age: Up to 35 years as on the date of the notification.
- Remuneration: Rs. 21,000 per month without GATE/NET, or Rs. 31,000 per month with GATE/NET, plus admissible HRA where accommodation is not provided.
Project Assistant – 01 post
- Qualification: Full-time B.Sc. degree in Agriculture, Agri Business or Sericulture.
- Age: Up to 30 years as on the date of the notification.
- Remuneration: Rs. 15,000 per month for B.Sc. candidates, or Rs. 20,000 per month for B.Sc. holders with a PGD in Sericulture, as consolidated pay without HRA.
Selection and documents
Selection is based on qualification, experience and performance in the interview. Candidates must report by 10:00 AM with a duly filled application in the prescribed proforma (available on the CSB website), complete bio-data, a passport-size photograph, and originals with self-attested copies of all educational certificates and mark sheets (SSLC, PUC/HSC, B.Sc./M.Sc.), birth certificate, NOC from the present employer if employed, proof of research experience and caste certificate as applicable. Candidates with provisional degree certificates may attend if photocopies of all mark sheets are produced. Applications will not be accepted by post, email or courier, and no TA/DA will be paid.
