Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a Joint Venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, invites applications from qualified and experienced personnel for six posts on contract/deputation basis, vide Employment Notification No. CMRL-HR-CON-DEP-06-2026 dated 14.10.2026.

• Posts: 6 (GM, AGM, three Managers, Assistant Manager)
• Consolidated pay: Rs.62,000 to Rs.2,25,000 per month
• Age: 30 to 55 years as on 14.10.2026 (post-wise)

Project & Department

Eligibility & Qualifications

General Manager (Signal & Telecom): B.E./B.Tech in ECE/EEE or a combination of these disciplines with at least 20 years of post-qualification executive experience; applicants from Government should be in SAG/NF-SAG in Railways or equivalent, or Chief Engineer in a State Government; PSU/private-sector applicants should have worked at least three years as AGM or in top management, in companies with a project size of at least Rs.500 crore or turnover of at least Rs.100 crore.

AGM (Safety - O&M): B.E./B.Tech with at least 17 years of post-qualification executive experience, including experience in the safety organisation of Indian Railways/Metro covering MRGR, accident investigation, safety audits and mock drills.

Managers (Telecom / Electrical Traction / Electrical & Mechanical): B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline with at least 7 years of post-qualification executive experience, including at least 4 years at DM level or equivalent, in companies with a project size of at least Rs.200 crore or turnover of at least Rs.50 crore.

Assistant Manager (Public Relations): Graduation with a postgraduate degree in Public Relations or Communication, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Emoluments

Consolidated monthly pay: Rs.2,25,000 (GM - S&T); Rs.1,60,000 (AGM - Safety); Rs.85,000 (each Manager post); Rs.62,000 (Assistant Manager - PR). Deputationists may alternatively draw pay in their parent organisation with deputation and project allowances at 10% of basic pay each, or the equivalent CMRL IDA scale with IDA, HRA and cafeteria allowance at 31.5% of basic pay.

Candidates applying for contract posts must remit a non-refundable fee of Rs.300 (Rs.50 for SC/ST, nil for differently abled persons) to the CMRL Canara Bank account (A/c 0416214000030, IFSC CNRB0000416, Teynampet branch) by NEFT/UPI and upload the payment acknowledgement. No hard copy applications will be accepted.

Important Instructions

• Only Indian nationals need apply; age, qualification and experience are reckoned as on 14.10.2026.
• The contract period for contract appointments is initially two years.
• The maximum age limit, after cumulative relaxation, shall not exceed 58 years as on the date of notification.
• Provisionally selected candidates must produce original certificates during verification and appear for the medical examination.
