CMPDI Empanelment of Advocates and Law Firms 2026 - Online Applications from 30 Oct to 15 Nov Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Applicant must be an Advocate enrolled under a Bar Council as per the Advocates Act, 1961. A law firm must apply through an advocate enrolled under a Bar Council.
- Familiarity with mining laws including coal mines, land acquisition, competition law, constitutional law, company law including SEBI guidelines, forest and environmental law, service law, labour law, contract law, commercial law, property laws and taxation.
- Minimum practice: 10 years in the Supreme Court for empanelment in the Supreme Court; 5 years in any High Court for the High Court of Delhi or the High Court of Jharkhand; 5 years in subordinate courts or tribunals for those forums.
- The applicant must be currently practising in the forum for which empanelment is sought and must maintain a fully functional office with adequate infrastructure.

About the empanelment
Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), Ranchi invites applications for empanelment of Advocates and Law Firms to represent CMPDI and its officers before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, High Court of Jharkhand, other courts and tribunals within their jurisdiction, and to provide legal advice and opinions.
Tenure
Initial empanelment is for five years from the date of acceptance, with periodic review at least annually. It may be renewed for a further three years at the discretion of CMPDI.
How to apply
Submit the application online in the prescribed proforma with bio-data and self-attested scanned supporting documents through the designated portal http://aeap.cmpdi.co.in/. The portal opens on 30.10.2026 and applications must be submitted on or before 15 November 2026. Applications sent by email or in hard copy will not be entertained.
Selection
Applications will be scrutinised and suitability judged on length of practice and specialisation, office infrastructure, income-tax returns for the last three years, past and current empanelment with PSUs and government departments, and notable achievements.
