Applicants should be currently an active player and should have fulfilled the sports achievements on or after 01/04/2024, as per the minimum sports norms for recruitment of Sports Persons in different Grade Pay and Pay Bands as detailed in the notification for individual events (Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Golf, Gymnastic, Rifle Shooting, Swimming).
Candidates residing at Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Ladakh, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep Island, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and candidates residing abroad can submit applications up to 31/08/2026 by 17:00 hours.
Rs. 500/- for all other candidates and Rs. 250/- for candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes. The fee is to be deposited through IPO (Indian Postal Order) / Bank Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of "PFA, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works" payable at Chittaranjan. Certificate in proof of relaxation should be enclosed with the application.
Selection will be based upon performance in Sports Trials, Educational Qualification and Sports Achievements, to be assessed and finalized by a nominated Selection Committee. Sports achievements of the current and previous two years (2024-2025, 2025-2026 and 2026-2027) shall be taken into account as per the norms.
