Eligibility & Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Master's degree in English (M.A. English or M.F.C – Master of Fisheries Communication) from a recognized university.
• B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized university/institution.

Desirable:

• Experience in teaching English at the college/university level, particularly in fisheries or technical education institutions.
• Familiarity with English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and technical communication.
• Proficiency in communicative English and soft skills training.

Salary & Tenure

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated hourly remuneration of Rs. 500/- per hour for the hours taught. The total monthly remuneration will depend on the number of lecture hours assigned, which is determined by the institute's academic schedule. The appointment is for a fixed duration of one year from the date of joining. The position is purely temporary/contractual and does not confer any right for regular appointment or extension. The tenure may be extended for a further period based on institutional requirements and satisfactory performance.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 65 years as on the last date of application. Since this is a guest lecturer position for experienced professionals, a higher age limit has been prescribed. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.
