Contractual Recruitment 2026-27 – 1,812 Academic & Non-Academic Posts in SAGES

The Directorate of Public Instruction (Lok Shikshan Sanchalanalaya), Chhattisgarh has released detailed notification No. 97/SAGES/CBT/विज्ञापन/2026 for 1,812 purely contractual academic and non-academic posts in Swami Atmanand Utkrisht English Medium Schools (SAGES) across 33 districts of Chhattisgarh. This supersedes the brief advertisement dated 09.09.2026 (SAGES/Contract Recruitment/2026-27/78).

Eligibility

• Lecturer: Master’s degree with at least second class in the subject + B.Ed mandatory.
• Headmaster (Primary): Higher Secondary (45%) + D.Ed/D.El.Ed + CG TET/CTET (Primary) mandatory.
• Headmaster (Upper Primary): Graduation (45%) + D.Ed/B.Ed/D.El.Ed + CG TET/CTET (Upper Primary) mandatory.
• Assistant Teacher: Higher Secondary (45%) + 2-year D.Ed/D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed + TET (Primary) mandatory.
• Teacher: Graduation (45%) + D.Ed/B.Ed/D.El.Ed + CG TET/CTET (Upper Primary) mandatory; Hindi/Sanskrit require the subject at second class.
• PT Teacher: Higher Secondary + graduation + D.P.Ed/B.P.Ed. Librarian: Graduation second class + B.Lib mandatory. Computer Teacher: Graduation second class in CS/IT/Computer Applications. Laboratory Assistant: Higher Secondary with Biology/Mathematics group.
• Chhattisgarh domicile certificate is mandatory. For English-medium posts, the candidate must have studied in English medium from Class 6 up to the highest degree (not applicable to Hindi/Sanskrit Lecturer and Teacher posts).

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• 21 to 35 years. SC/ST/OBC (NCL) of Chhattisgarh: +5 years. Women: +10 years.
• Government/corporation/board employees: up to 38 years. Retrenched servants: relaxation for prior temporary service (max 7 years, not exceeding upper limit by more than 3 years). Nagar Sainik / Nagar Sena volunteers: up to 8 years relaxation, max 38 years. After all relaxations, upper age cannot exceed 45 years.

Salary (Fixed Monthly Lump-Sum Honorarium)

• Lecturer & Headmaster (Upper Primary): Rs. 38,100/- per month
• Headmaster (Primary), Teacher (all subjects), PT Teacher, Computer Teacher: Rs. 35,400/- per month
• Assistant Teacher & Laboratory Assistant: Rs. 25,300/- per month
• Librarian: Rs. 22,400/- per month
• No DA/CA/HRA or special pay and no annual increment; contract staff get no pension/death benefit.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT) only in English medium, followed by document verification and police/character verification. No separate interview.
• Selection list valid 6 months; waiting list up to 25% of vacancies (minimum one) per category, valid 9 months.
• Reservation: 100-point roster district-wise as per the Chhattisgarh Lok Seva (Reservation for SC/ST/Backward Classes) Act 1994; 30% horizontal reservation for women; 7% for persons with disabilities.
• Appointment subject to the final order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 019668/2022.

Terms of Contract

• One year under Rule 4 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Contract Appointment) Rules, 2012; renewable on performance assessment.
• Either party may end the contract with 3 months’ notice or 3 months’ salary in lieu.
• Entirely temporary — no claim for regular appointment or regularization; ends automatically if regular recruitment is made.

• One subject only for Lecturer; one each for Headmaster (U.P.)/Teacher and Headmaster (P.)/Assistant Teacher; one application each for PT Teacher, Librarian, Computer Teacher and Laboratory Assistant. Maximum 7 separate applications if eligible.
• SC/ST/OBC candidates must attach a permanent caste certificate; married SC/ST women a caste certificate showing the father’s name. Government/corporation/board employees must attach a No Objection Certificate.
