CSIR-CFTRI Senior Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 – PAT 54/2026
CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), Mysuru invites applications for the temporary contractual position of Senior Project Associate-I (SPA-I) for the project "Understanding the molecular basis for the utilization of non-GOS (manninotriose and verbascotetraose) in human gut probiotics" (Project No. FIR070407). Initially for 6 months, extendable up to March 2028 (Advt. PAT 54/2026 dated 20.08.2026).

Qualifications
- Essential: Master's Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent + 3 years R&D experience OR M.E/M.Tech in Biotechnology or equivalent OR Doctoral Degree in Natural Sciences + 2 years R&D experience.
- Hands-on expertise required: Molecular biology (DNA/RNA isolation, PCR/RT-PCR/qPCR, cloning, recombinant DNA, gene expression, gene deletion/knockout), carbohydrate-utilization gene clusters, enzyme assays, oligosaccharide identification using analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, NMR).
- Desirable: Experience in microbial carbohydrate utilization, homologous recombination, mutant construction, functional genomics, enzyme characterization, bioinformatics, molecular dynamics simulations.
