Central Railway Contract Teacher Recruitment 2026 – 17 Posts

Central Railway, Office of the Divisional Railway Manager (Personnel), Mumbai CSMT has published a recruitment notification (Advt No. BB/P/WEL/09/ Rly Sch KYN) for the engagement of 17 Contract Teacher posts – Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Primary Teacher (PRT) at Central Railway Schools. Walk-in Interviews will be held from 19-08-2026 to 21-08-2026.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: 18 to 65 years (as on 03.08.2026).
• Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks in the concerned subject is mandatory for each PGT/TGT and PRT.
• Qualification: Relevant Post-Graduation/Graduation with B.Ed/D.Ed as applicable; CTET required for TGT and PRT.
• Those appearing at or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible.
• Candidates in service must bring NOC from current employer.

Selection Procedure

• Walk-in Interview at Chamber of Principal, Central Railway Secondary School (EM) & Junior College, Kalyan.
• Candidates evaluated by a Selection Committee; engagement on contract basis subject to being found suitable in order of merit.
• If the interview is not completed on the assigned date, it will be conducted on the next day.
• Selected candidates sent for Medical Test as per rules.

How to Apply (Walk-in)

1. Appear for Walk-in Interview as per scheduled dates at: Chamber of Principal, Central Railway Secondary School (EM) & Junior College, Kalyan.
2. Carry original documents along with one attested copy each: Date of Birth Certificate/Xth Board Certificate, NOC from current employer, Experience Certificate (if any), Academic/Educational Qualification Mark Sheets and Certificates, Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.
3. Indicate past service rendered, if any, including contract service on Indian Railway.
4. Be prepared to stay in Mumbai for a minimum of 3 days for viva (no accommodation provided).

Other Important Information

• Contract Duration: Maximum 200 working days / minimum 7 working days or availability of a regularly selected candidate, whichever is earliest.
• Contract Teachers have no claim to continuity in service or automatic extension; part-time contract service not counted for regular selection.
• Contract teachers not entitled to leave, medical, passes, PTO, transportation, or vacation pay.
• Maximum teaching periods shall not exceed 5 per day.
• No application fee mentioned.
