- Sr. Resident — qualification: Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB)/Diploma in the concerned speciality. If PG Degree/Diploma candidates are not available, candidates having minimum 02 years experience after MBBS from a Govt./Govt. Empanelled Hospital may be considered, wherein 01 year experience in the concerned speciality from a Govt. Hospital/Health Institution is required.
- Sr. Resident — preference: Candidates with 02 years or more experience in the concerned speciality from a Govt. Hospital/Health Institution. Must not have completed 03+01 years Senior Residency in any recognised institute, whether regular or ad-hoc.
- Jr. Resident — qualification: MBBS (foreign equivalent degree accepted only after passing the screening test conducted by the National Board of Examination) with 01 year internship.
- Jr. Resident — internship cut-off: Applicants who completed their internship in India must have completed it on or after 29.10.2024; those who completed it before 29.10.2024 will not be considered (except FMG candidates).
- FMGs: Foreign Medical Graduates who completed internship outside India and have qualified the FMGE shall be considered eligible based on the date of declaration of the FMGE, irrespective of the date of completion of internship.
- Age limit (as on closing date 29.10.2026): Sr. Resident — upper age limit 45 years; Jr. Resident — upper age limit 30 years (General/EWS). Relaxable by 5 years for qualified Ex-Servicemen with continuous service of not less than 5 years, 5 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC (Delhi only).
- OBC (Delhi only): Caste certificate along with Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued by the competent authority of GNCT of Delhi for the current financial year 2026-2027 is required.
- DMC registration: Valid registration with the Delhi Medical Council is mandatory at the time of applying. Candidates with a valid DMC acknowledgement receipt will be allowed for the interview, but must have valid DMC registration at the time of joining, failing which the appointment will be cancelled.
- Appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of certificates of educational qualification, age, caste, DMC registration, internship completion etc.
