Eligibility:

- Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign going Steamship (Valid throughout Commonwealth)
- Certificate of Sight test in form-vision from Mercantile Marine Dept
- 5 years experience as Chief Officer in Foreign going Steamship
- Knowledge of Konkani
- Knowledge of Marathi (desirable)
- Knowledge of Inland Vessels Act, Merchant Shipping Act etc (desirable)

Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign going Steamship (Valid throughout the Commonwealth)
Certificate of Sight Test
