The College of Agricultural Engineering & Post Harvest Technology (CAEPHT), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Ranipool, Gangtok, Sikkim invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – one (1) post under the research project "Improved Technology and Process for Parboiled Rice and Selected Extruded Products" sponsored by IIT Kharagpur. Essential Qualification

M.Tech in Food Process Engineering / Processing and Engineering / Food Technology / Post Harvest Engineering / Post Harvest Technology / Food Engineering and Technology with minimum CGPA of 6.5/10.0 (or 60% aggregate), selected through National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoA, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISER, NISER, etc.

Desirable

Prior research experience in operating and handling twin-screw extruder, rice milling and paddy parboiling equipment will be given preference. Knowledge of Machine Design, CAD software, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation will be considered an added advantage.

Age Limit

Maximum age limit is 28 years. Upper age limit is relaxed by up to 5 years for SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, Women, and OBC applicants.

Terms and Conditions

- The candidate should bring a copy of detailed CV, Photograph, NOC (if employed) and original documents for verification.

- The post is purely temporary and co-terminus/contractual (initially for a period of 6 months which can be further extended as per performance) with the project. Selected candidate will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/absorption either in this institute.

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

- The selected candidate should be ready to tour for field work as per project work.

- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

- The Dean has the right to cancel/postpone the interview without any reason thereof.
