Burari Hospital (Government of NCT of Delhi), Kaushik Enclave, Delhi - 110084, invites applications for filling up of 07 vacant posts of Senior Residents in the Anaesthesia and Pathology departments on ad-hoc basis for a period of 44 days or till a regular candidate joins at Burari Hospital. Burari Hospital had started functioning as a dedicated COVID hospital in 2020. General Non-Covid services started in 2022. The hospital boasts of a well-equipped 50-bedded ICU, state-of-the-art OTs, laboratories with the latest equipments and fixtures, well-planned wards and its own dedicated oxygen supply. It is a 768-bedded hospital which caters to an urban and rural population of approximately 10 lakhs.

How to Apply

Selection will be purely as per the merit list based on the walk-in interview. The candidate should report at the office of the Medical Director, Burari Hospital, on the day of interview between 9 AM and 11 AM for verification of documents with original documents. Entry will be allowed up to 11 AM. The application form must be filled online through the link below, and the prefilled printed form must be brought on the day of interview along with two passport-size photographs and self-attested photocopies of the required documents (originals to be produced for verification).

Eligibility & Other Important Information

• Qualification: MBBS with a postgraduate degree / DNB / Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised University/Institute, in the concerned department, on the day of the interview, for the post on ad-hoc basis. Must not have completed 03 years as Senior Resident from any recognised institute, including regular or on ad-hoc basis.
• Age: As on the date of interview, a maximum of 45 years, as per order no. F.No.DHF&W/Q015/57/2016-HR-Medical-Secy(H&FW)CD no. 11245060/1502-08 dated 26-11-2020. The age is relaxable up to 05 years for SC & ST and 3 years for OBC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer belonging to Delhi only).
• Pay Scale: In accordance with 7th CPC guidelines as adopted by GNCT of Delhi.
• DMC registration: The candidate must be registered (with MBBS and the requisite postgraduate qualification) with the Delhi Medical Council on or before the day of the interview, and should have a valid DMC certificate or have applied for receipt of their PG Degree/Diploma DMC registration on the date of the interview.
• OBC (Delhi NCL): Only OBC candidates belonging to Delhi (Non-Creamy Layer) are considered for an OBC seat, and should hold a Delhi OBC (Non-Creamy) certificate issued in the current financial year. If a candidate applies under the OBC category but cannot provide valid proof at the time of document verification before the interview, the candidature will be rejected and the candidate will not be allowed to interview.
• Relaxed norms: Those who have already done SR Residency in any Govt./Govt. aided institution for three years will also be considered under relaxed norms in case of non-availability of fresh candidates, as per circular no. F.No. 212/26/2010/H&FW/1996-2045 dated 10.06.2011 of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi Govt. A separate list will be prepared for fresh candidates and for those shortlisted under the relaxed criteria; candidates selected under the relaxed category will be appointed on ad-hoc basis for 44 days.
• Documents required (in original along with self-attested photocopies, in the given order): (a) printout of the filled Application Form with one photograph pasted on it; (b) caste certificate - SC/ST, or Non-Creamy Delhi OBC certificate issued in 2026-27; (c) DMC registration (MBBS and requisite postgraduate qualification); (d) X class certificate (for date of birth); (e) attempt certificate; (f) degree (MBBS and postgraduate degree / DNB or Diploma); (g) experience certificate, if applicable; (h) Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport; (i) publications (indexed journal only).
• Candidature will be rejected if any discrepancy is detected in the document/information at any stage of recruitment.
• All appointments are subject to medical fitness and verification of certificates of educational qualification, age, caste, and submission of a valid DMC post-graduation registration certificate, etc. If any declaration/information furnished is found to be false or any material fact is suppressed wilfully, the candidature/appointment will be cancelled/terminated forthwith and due administrative/legal action will be taken; the Delhi Medical Council will also be intimated.
• The result shall be displayed on the website of the Delhi Government and on the notice board. No letter or personal information shall be issued. If the candidate accepts the offer, he/she would be required to join within the stipulated time mentioned in the offer of appointment. All shortlisted candidates will also be required to get their documents verified in the hospital on the day of joining.

General Terms & Conditions

• The number of posts advertised is provisional and subject to change without any notice.
• Seats will be reserved for SC, ST, OBC (Delhi NCL) and differently-abled candidates as per the prevailing Govt. rules.
• In case of non-availability of candidates in a reserved category, candidates from other categories would be considered on ad-hoc basis for 44 days.
• A panel of wait-listed candidates will be prepared for filling the post of SR for vacancies arising in future. The panel shall remain valid for 6 months or till a fresh selection process is carried out, whichever is earlier.
• In the unforeseen eventuality of a holiday being declared on the scheduled dates of the interview, the schedule shall shift to the next working day or as decided by the Medical Director.
• The decision of the Selection Board / Medical Director of Burari Hospital regarding selection will be final and binding and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
• The appointment and services will be governed under the Residency Scheme. The total tenure of a Senior Resident will be a maximum of three years, which will also include any senior residency tenure done in other Govt./Govt. funded institutions. Appointment will initially be for a period of 44 days or till a regular candidate joins, extendable up to a maximum of three years on the basis of a satisfactory Work & Conduct report from the concerned HOD and a written request from the SR concerned.
• The contract of appointment can be terminated by either party by giving one month's notice without assigning any reason.
• No TA/DA shall be paid for participating in the selection process.
