- Officers of the Central Armed Police Forces, Central Government, State Government or Union Territory administration.
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or six years' regular service in Level-5 (₹29,200–₹92,300) in the parent cadre/department.
- Prescribed nursing/lab/physiotherapy qualification and six years' experience as specified for the post.
- Maximum age 56 years on the closing date; deputation period ordinarily not exceeding three years.
- Nominations must be forwarded through the proper channel; direct applications will not be entertained.

Eligibility and tenure
- Officers of CAPFs, Central Government, State Government or UT administration holding an analogous post, or with six years' regular service in Level-5 (₹29,200–₹92,300).
- Medic: Basic and Advanced Nursing Assistant/Medic course and six years as Nursing Assistant in a 100-bed hospital.
- Lab Technician: 12th pass and two-year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and six years' experience.
- Physiotherapist: 12th pass and two-year diploma in Physiotherapy and six years' experience.
- Maximum age 56 years on the closing date; deputation ordinarily up to three years.

Nominations in the prescribed proforma, with attested copies of CR dossiers/APARs for the last five years, must be forwarded through the proper channel to the Inspector General/Director (Medical), Directorate General, BSF, Block No. 9, Level-04, East Block, Sector-1, R K Puram, New Delhi–110066.
