Eligibility (as per circular)
- BSF officers: Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognised University/Institute; five years' experience after appointment in Group-A service in BSF, with minimum three years' experience in dealing with law.
- Central/State Government/UT officers: holding analogous post on regular basis, or with five years' regular service in Level-10 (???56,100??????1,77,500); plus Bachelor's Degree in Law and minimum six years' experience in dealing with law.
- Ex-Servicemen (re-employment): Armed Forces personnel due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within one year, possessing the requisite qualifications/experience and holding equivalent post.
Selected officers will be governed by the BSF Act and Rules and are liable to be posted anywhere in India; candidates from civil posts/Bar must complete 24 weeks' basic training on initial appointment.

Nominations of eligible/willing candidates should be forwarded through the proper channel in the prescribed proforma (Annexure) along with attested copies of CR dossiers for the last five years to Dy. Inspector General (Pers), Directorate General, BSF, Block No. 10, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi ??? 110003, so as to reach within 60 days of publication of the advertisement in Employment News. Departments must verify/certify particulars and confirm that no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending.
