The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India invites applications for the post of Executive Director (ED), Building Materials and Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC) in Level-14 of the Pay Matrix on Direct Recruitment, failing which by Deputation, failing which by Contract appointment.

| Direct Recruitment | Graduation in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Architecture from a recognized University; 18 years experience with at least 5 years in managerial capacity dealing with building materials and low-cost housing technology. Fixed tenure of 5 years. |
| Deputation | Officers in PB Rs. 37,400-67,000 + GP Rs. 8,700 or above with 5 years regular service in Govt. of India (or equivalent IDA pattern), possessing degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering/Architecture. Deputation period not to exceed 5 years. |
| Contract | Persons possessing essential qualifications for direct recruitment; age not exceeding retiring age for BMTPC employees; consolidated remuneration at minimum of PB-4 (Rs. 37,400-67,000) + GP Rs. 10,000 + allowances. Contract initially 2 years. |
Desirable Qualifications
- Masters Degree in one of the above disciplines
- Research/teaching in the field of building materials and low-cost housing technology
- Specialization in handling low-cost housing project or managed building materials unit
