BLW Eligibility Criteria 2026-27
- Sports norms: Level-5 — Olympic Games (senior) or at least 3rd position in a Category-B championship/event. Level-2 — country representation in Category-B events, 3rd+ in Category-C events, 3rd+ in Senior/Youth/Junior Nationals, 3rd+ in National Games (IOA) or All-India Inter-University, or 1st in Federation Cup (senior). Level-1 — country representation in Category-C events, 3rd+ in Federation Cup (senior), or state/equivalent representation with at least 8th position in Senior Nationals only. Achievements must be on or after 01/04/2024 with the sportsperson currently active; only federations recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board count (with game-specific exclusions for Volleyball/HFI/WFI events as detailed in the notice).
- Education: Level-5 — Degree/Graduation; Level-2 — 12th (+2) pass; Level-1 — 10th pass or ITI or NAC (NCVT). Result-awaited candidates are not eligible.
- Age as on 01/01/2027: 18–25 years (born between 01/01/2002 and 01/01/2009, inclusive); no relaxation for any community. Date of birth must appear on the 10th/matriculation certificate.
