Eligibility
- Postgraduate degree in basic science; OR graduate/postgraduate degree in a professional course selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) and GATE, or through a national-level examination of a central government department or agency such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc or IISER.
- Desired skillset: interest in waste upcycling and decarbonisation research; knowledge of process design and development and acquaintance with process modelling tools such as ASPEN.
- Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability, as per Institute rules.

Birla Goa Campus, to work on a DST – Hydrogen Valley Innovation Cluster (HVIC) project on the topic “Bio-Oil to Green Hydrogen Production and Scale-Up Demonstration”. The appointment is purely contractual.

Project Description
The project aims to develop and demonstrate an integrated thermo-chemical pathway for producing green hydrogen from biomass-derived bio-oil at a scalable level. It involves designing and optimising oxy-steam gasification systems for efficient bio-oil-to-hydrogen conversion, supported by detailed techno-economic and life cycle assessments to ensure commercial and environmental viability.
