Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) invites applications from Indian citizens in the prescribed format for direct recruitment to the following vacant posts under Letter No. P.D.J.S./est-2-3/2024 dated 22.07.2026.

Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

• Shighralekhak Grade-III (Hindi): Graduation from a recognised university + Hindi shorthand examination passed from a recognised shorthand & typewriting board + knowledge of Hindi computer typing + computer application knowledge. Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi/local dialect expected.
• Assistant Grade-III Cadre: Graduation from a recognised university + one-year computer diploma course from a recognised board/university + knowledge of Hindi & English computer typing. Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi/local dialect expected.
• Vehicle Driver: Class 8th pass from a recognised board/institution + valid transport/commercial vehicle driving licence + experience of driving all types of vehicles. Vehicle mechanics preferred; candidates with higher qualification working as regular/ad-hoc drivers in Govt. departments get preference.

Age Limit (as on 04.04.2026)

• Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30 years.
• For Chhattisgarh domicile candidates: maximum 40 years.
• Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC of Chhattisgarh - 5 years; Women (CG local residents) - up to 40 years; PwD - as per CG General Administration Department circular; Govt. employees - additional 5 years; in no case maximum age shall exceed 45 years.

Selection Process

• Stage 1 - Written Exam: 50 objective questions (general mental ability, general knowledge, current affairs, computer) of 2 hours; 4 marks per question; no negative marking.
• Stage 2 - Skill Test: Shighralekhak - Dictation (250 words, 2 min 30 sec) + Hindi computer typing (250 words, 5 min); Assistant - Hindi & English computer typing (250 words each); Driver - 50-mark skill test/interview (physical & intellectual ability, obedience, efficiency, work experience).
• Final merit on skill test marks; waitlist in ratio as per notification, valid for a maximum period.

How to Apply

1. Submit the application in the prescribed format in a sealed envelope clearly super-scribed with the post name (e.g., "शीघ्रलेखक ग्रेड-तीन (हिन्दी)", "सहायक ग्रेड-तीन संवर्ग", "वाहन चालक").
2. Attach self-attested photocopies of educational qualification, caste, residence, disability, experience, ex-servicemen certificates, etc.
3. Application window: 23.07.2026 (10:30 AM) to 24.08.2026 (5:00 PM).
4. Drop the fully filled application into the drop box kept at the office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), by 24.08.2026 (5:00 PM).
