- Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in any subject from a board recognised by the State or Central Government.

- Typing test: 30 words per minute in Hindi and English.

- Preliminary examination: OMR-based objective test of 100 questions carrying 400 marks (2 hours), with 1 mark negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Typing test: 30 words per minute in Hindi and English (10 minutes each).
- Subjects: General Studies (50 questions), General Science and Mathematics (20), Mental Ability and Logical Reasoning (30).
