BHU Junior Research Fellow (Physics) Recruitment 2026 - ANRF Supercell Phononic Crystals Project
The Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University invites applications for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ANRF, New Delhi funded project (Project Code P-07/1379) entitled "A study on the design and optimization of Supercell Phononic crystals for low frequency vibration reduction", sanctioned for a period of three years. Advertisement no. PHY/SP/RAC/2026/ANRF/1 dated 07.10.2026. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

The project studies the design and optimisation of supercell phononic crystals for low-frequency vibration reduction.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Essential: M.Sc. in Physics with 55% and above, and must have qualified the NET or GATE examinations.
Desirable: research experience in photonic/phononic crystals, COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB will be preferred.
Emoluments
Rs.37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs.42,000 per month for the third year. HRA will be provided as per university rules.
