Overview
The Department of Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) invites applications for one (01) post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ANRF-funded Inclusivity Research Grant (IRG) project on multi-omics dissection of Rhizophagus irregularis symbiosis in Withania somnifera (File No. ANRF/IRG/2025/000765/LS; BHU Code P-07/1373; 36 months). PI: Dr. L. S. Songachan, Mycorrhizal Research Laboratory.

Eligibility
- Essential: NET or GATE qualified with M.Sc. in Botany / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Applied Microbiology / Plant Science / Life Science with at least 55% marks.
- Desirable: experience in plant-microbe interactions, mycorrhizal biology, stress physiology, molecular biology, omics, bioinformatics.
- Age: as per ANRF guidelines. Appointment purely temporary/contractual (initially 1 year, extendable to project completion).
