The Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University invites candidates for a walk-in interview for Young Professional-I and Young Professional-II posts under different projects funded by the U.P. Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR), Lucknow, for a period of three years. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the projects.

Project & Department
YP-I (1) - Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava ([email protected]): Genetic insights for major stress for development of late sown varieties in mustard and elite groundnut varieties for major stress, with development of standard agronomical practices for both the crops.
YP-I (1) - Dr. Jayasudha S. ([email protected]): Identification and characterization of maize landraces of Uttar Pradesh for nutritional potential with biotic and abiotic stresses.
YP-II (1) - Dr. Tarun Verma ([email protected]): Innovative Processing and Value Addition of Goat Milk for Development of Functional Food to Enhance Human Health.
YP-I (1) - Dr. Kumari Shikha ([email protected]): Integrated research and innovation for accelerating Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) system in Uttar Pradesh.
Eligibility & Qualifications
YP-I (Sr. No. 1, 2 and 4): B.Sc. Agriculture (four-year degree). Desirable: minimum two years experience in field experimentation with proven computer and statistical knowledge. Age up to 28 years.
YP-II (Sr. No. 3): M.Tech / postgraduate degree in Food Technology / Dairy Technology / Dairy Science / Dairy Chemistry / Dairy Microbiology / Dairy Engineering / Food Science / Livestock Product Technology. Desirable: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline or NET qualified with a good publication record. Age up to 30 years.
Emoluments
Young Professional-I: Rs.30,000 per month (consolidated). Young Professional-II: Rs.42,000 per month (consolidated). No other allowances are mentioned in the advertisement.
