BHU Dept of Botany Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Recruitment 2026 – 01 Post

Department of Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi invites applications for 01 position — Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project (R/Dev/P-07/1330), sanctioned for 3 years. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

• M.Sc. in Botany/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Plant Science/Plant Biotechnology or a related field (with 55% and above).
• NET/GATE or equivalent.
• Experience in higher plant molecular biology or molecular biology will be preferred.

Age Limit

Upper age limit 28 years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates).

Salary / Emoluments

Fixed salary of Rs. 37,000/- per month (plus 16% HRA).

Selection Process
