BHEL Transformer Plant Jhansi – Assistant Technical Consultant Recruitment 2026

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Transformer Plant (TP), Jhansi invites applications for 02 positions of Assistant Technical Consultants for the production Testing department at TP, Jhansi. Advertisement No. TP-05/2026.

Position Details

Additional: Mobile phone charges (up to Rs. 2,000) for one connection, HRA as per applicable rates, and Transport Allowance at 10% of consultancy fee.

Eligibility

• Who can apply: Any retired non-executive of BHEL or equivalent grade of Workman from PSUs/Autonomous Organizations/Central & State Government/Statutory Bodies.
• Qualification: ITI passed with National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Electrician trade.
• Age: Not more than 64 years as on 1st of the month of advertisement.
• Applicants retired under VRS shall be considered only after attaining 60 years. Exception for Ex-Servicemen for lower age; engagement for Ex-Servicemen shall be 05 years or till 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Experience Requirements

Transformer Testing Division: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in testing of higher-rating Power Transformers up to 400 KV class (fully assembled final testing and stage testing), knowledge of testing equipment/instruments, test connections and fault-finding.

Transportation Testing Division: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in Locomotive assembly, operational knowledge of testing equipment/instruments, test connections, fault-finding and troubleshooting, with experience of erection and commissioning of diesel electric shunting locomotives at site.

Period of Engagement

One year, extendable by up to one year at a time or till completion of assignment (whichever is earlier). Maximum tenure limited to five years or up to 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process

Applications will be scrutinized by a Committee; shortlisted candidates may be called for interaction by a duly constituted Selection Board. Outstation candidates called for interaction shall be reimbursed travel expenses by the shortest route (Rail: AC-II Sleeper; Road: actuals limited to train fare of AC-II Sleeper).
