Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow will engage temporary guest teachers and temporary guest accompanists for the academic session 2026-27 through walk-in interview, for teaching Music Shastra, Sitar, Tabla and Computer Science, and for accompanying Tabla, Sarangi, Vocal (Kathak dance) and Harmonium. Walk-in Interview

Eligibility - Guest Teachers (Sr. No. 01 to 04)

• Selection is entirely on merit and on the standards laid down by the University Grants Commission.
• Preference in the following order: candidates who have qualified NET/SLET or hold a PhD; candidates with a degree in Music Shastra and experience of teaching the subject; candidates with at least 55% marks at postgraduate level in the prescribed subject (a relaxation of 5% is admissible as per rules).
• If the postgraduate specialisation is in one subject, it is considered valid only for that subject; for example, proficiency in vocal music does not make a candidate eligible to teach instrumental music.
• For Sr. No. 04 (Computer Science): M.Tech/MCA or an equivalent examination passed, with two years' experience.

Eligibility - Guest Accompanists (Sr. No. 05 to 08)

• Selection is entirely on merit.
• Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 35 years; five years' relaxation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class candidates.
• Graduate/Visharad or an equivalent examination in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks; a relaxation of 5% is admissible for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
• Artists graded by All India Radio are preferred.
• For harmonium: graduate/Visharad or an equivalent examination in any discipline of classical music with at least 55% marks; a diploma or equivalent examination in harmonium is preferred; artists graded by All India Radio are preferred.

Other Conditions

• Teaching eligibility requires at least 55% marks at postgraduate level; 50% is admissible for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
• Candidates must give a performance at the time of interview.
• The engagement is purely temporary and may be terminated at any time as per requirement; no notice period is admissible for this engagement.
• In case of any dispute the decision of the university shall be final.
