BEST Mumbai Bus Vahak (Bus Conductor) Recruitment 2026

BEST Undertaking, Mumbai has released a notification for direct recruitment (Sarळsewa Bharti) of Bus Vahak (Bus Conductor) posts. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for 364 vacancies across various categories.

Physical Standards

Educational Qualification

• Passed SSC (10th) or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks
• Marathi as a subject with minimum 100 marks (higher level) or 50 marks (lower level) in SSC or higher examination
• Valid bus conductor license and badge issued by RTA, Maharashtra State

Pay Scale

Basic Pay: Rs. 22,060/- per month. Approximate total gross remuneration: Rs. 36,000/- per month including DA, HRA, Medical Allowance, Uniform Washing Allowance, Leave Encashment, LTA, and free travel facility on BEST buses.

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – 30 marks (Arithmetic: 10, GK & Current Affairs: 10, Language Marathi & English: 10). Qualifying: minimum 3 marks per subject and 12 overall.
2. Document Verification – Original certificates, ID proof, category certificates
3. Final Selection – Subject to Undertaking discretion

Normalisation: Mean Standard Deviation Method if exam conducted in multiple shifts.
