Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and a Mini Ratna Company, has invited applications from highly experienced and qualified individuals for engagement on a Contract (Retainership) basis as Advisor. (Advertisement No. 563, File No. HR-Cont029/B/02-Cont, dated 19-10-2026.)

Key responsibilities
- Advise Management on technical matters of the broadcasting sector and related areas.
- Assist in addressing technical references received from the MIB, TRAI and TEC, etc.
Qualifying requirements
- Age: Maximum age as on 30 September 2026 is 63 years.
- Essential qualification: B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics Telecommunication Engineering from any Institute / University.
- Experience: At least 25 years with expertise in both planning and execution of projects across TV, Radio, Satellite, DTH broadcasting and OTT systems, etc.
- Previous employment status: Retired ex-Prasar Bharati officials (Chief Engineer level and above) who retired from PB within the last 2 to 3 years.
General terms and conditions
- Candidates will be hired on a retainership basis, initially for a period of 1 year, which may be extended further based on the requirement of BECIL and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
- The current place of posting will be the Corporate Office, Noida / Head Office Delhi, or any place in India.
- Tax deductions will be as per applicable rules.
- No allowance such as DA, residential telephone, transport facility / transport allowance, HRA, CGHS, medical reimbursement, etc. is admissible.
- TA/DA: The candidate may have to travel outstation based on project requirements. TA/DA is allowed for travel in the country in connection with official work as per prevailing company rules.
- BECIL reserves the right to terminate the service of candidates without prior notice if performance is not found satisfactory.
- Candidates would be subject to the provisions of the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923, not only during the assignment but thereafter as well.
- Candidates should be in sound health (both physically and mentally), should not be accused in any pending inquiry, and should be of impeccable integrity.
- Any candidate attempting to influence the selection process or adopting unfair means will be summarily rejected / debarred from selection.
Selection procedure
- Applications received shall be shortlisted for interview based on the candidate's credentials and suitability for the position, in accordance with pre-approved criteria.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in physical / virtual mode. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed.
- Candidates will be selected by the Screening-cum-Selection Committee constituted by BECIL, and will be required to present their credentials in original, viz. experience, achievements and suitability for the post, during the interview / selection committee meeting.
- The final selection of a candidate solely depends on the candidate's qualifications / experience, suitability for the post, and performance in the interview.
