Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will prepare a panel for appointment to 575 Senior Resident / Tutor posts (three-year tenure) in the State's medical colleges and hospitals under the Health Department, Government of Bihar. Advertisement No. BCECEB/Health(SR)/2026(III)/01 dated 30.10.2026. Online applications open on 02.11.2026 and close at 10:00 PM on 23.11.2026.

Eligibility
- Postgraduate degree (MD / MS / DNB or DNB Super Speciality) in the concerned subject, as per the NMC Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulations, 2025
- Where suitable postgraduate candidates are not available, diploma holders may be considered with marks equivalent to a postgraduate degree in that subject, but they will be placed below postgraduate candidates in the merit list
- For non-medical faculties such as Anatomy and Physiology, an M.Sc. with a Ph.D. is mandatory
- The applicant must be a citizen of India
Quota Distribution
40% of the posts will be filled from members of the Bihar State Health Service cadre, 40% from doctors who completed their postgraduate (residency scheme) course in the State's medical colleges, and the remaining 20% from doctors who obtained their postgraduate degree under the residency scheme from recognised institutions outside the State.

No hard copy is to be sent to the Board; the printed application and originals must be produced at document verification, together with the matriculation certificate, all MBBS mark sheets and certificates, speciality mark sheets/degree, PhD/DM/MCh/M.Sc. certificates, medical registration, experience certificate, NOC if employed, current caste certificate with non-creamy layer, residence certificate, PwD certificate and the affidavit that a three-year SR/PG tenure post has not already been held.
