Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) – South Zone Office, Bengaluru, Karnataka has issued a recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for direct recruitment to various Group C civil servant posts in the South Zone of BBMP. The selected candidates will be deployed across BBMP South Zone wards for sanitation supervision, public health, revenue, engineering, and other civic services. About BBMP South Zone

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is the administrative body responsible for civic services and infrastructure of Greater Bengaluru. The South Zone covers residential, commercial, and industrial areas including Jayanagar, Banashankari, Padmanabhanagar, Kumaraswamy Layout, Girinagar, and surrounding areas. Civil Servants recruited at the South Zone office primarily support sanitation, public health, encroachment removal, and ward-level civic operations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Indian citizen and local resident of Karnataka (priority to BBMP South Zone residents).
• Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed at least SSLC (Class 10th) from a recognised board. Higher qualifications (PUC, ITI, Diploma, Graduate) will be given additional preference as per BBMP norms.
• Age Limit: 18 to 35 years for General category; relaxations as per Karnataka Government reservation rules for SC / ST / Cat-I / 2A / 2B / 3A / 3B / OBC and women candidates.
• Language: Working knowledge of Kannada is desirable.
• Physical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit for field-level work (sanitation, ward supervision).

Selection Process

1. Written Examination / Skill Test – Objective-type test covering General Knowledge, Karnataka History & Culture, General Kannada, Reasoning, and Basic Arithmetic.
2. Document Verification – Originals of all uploaded documents must be produced.
3. Medical Examination – For posts requiring physical fitness.
4. Final merit list based on marks in the written test and applicable category-wise reservations.

Salary / Pay Scale

Pay Scale as per Karnataka State Government norms for Group C civil servant posts. Pay will be at the entry level of the applicable pay matrix, plus DA, HRA, and other admissible allowances.
