Bangalore University Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 – PG Departments (Academic Year 2026-27)

Bangalore University (Accredited by NAAC with A++, Jnana Bharathi, Bengaluru – 560 056) invites applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Full Time / Part Time Guest Faculties in P.G. Departments of Bangalore University, J.B Campus & P.G. Centre Ramanagara, on the existing workload of each Department for the academic year 2026-27. Notification No. EST:ll:E9:G.F:Notification:2026 dated 03.08.2026.

As per UGC regulations, eligible candidates may apply for the Guest Faculty position in the following PG Courses offered in Bangalore University & P.G. Centre Ramanagara for the academic year 2026-27.

Remuneration for Selected Guest Faculty

Note: The services of full time Guest faculties with NET/SLET/PhD qualification will be utilized for the whole academic year subject to the condition that they have to involve in assisting Directors/Chairpersons/Co-ordinators of the concerned Departments in other academic, administration and examination work, and they have to publish one refereed journal in an academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

• NET/SLET/PhD shall be the minimum criteria as per the UGC regulations 2018 (Clause 3.10) and amendment notification dated 30.06.2023 for the appointment of Guest Faculty in Higher Education institutions.
• The candidate should possess 10+2+3+2 pattern of education.
• The clearing of NET/SLET/SET is not required for candidates in disciplines where NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC from the State of Karnataka only are eligible to apply. Valid caste certificate should be submitted from the competent authority of the State of Karnataka.

General Information & Conditions

• Appointment of the Guest Faculty stands terminated with the appointment of permanent lecturers or till the end of academic session 2026-27, whichever is earlier.
• Candidates appearing for interview are required to give a demo class as a part of interview.
• Appointment will be made as per the existing workload and prevailing reservation policies of Government of Karnataka.
• The selected candidate will be assigned teaching work as per the workload of the Department.
• Selected candidates will be liable to work in the P.G. Departments of Bangalore University and P.G. Centre Ramanagara.
• Applications sent by G-mail will not be accepted.
• The University will receive the hard copy only from such candidates who have submitted the application through online mode.
• Candidates who want to apply for more than one department should submit separate applications for each department.
• Candidates applying for departments in PG Centre Ramanagara should submit their hard copy applications to the concerned Chairpersons of the respective departments in Jnanabharathi campus.
• Guest Faculty will not be given the benefit of allowances, pension, gratuity and leave etc., as admissible to regular teachers.
• Intimation will be sent to eligible candidates regarding interview date and time by the respective Chairman/Co-ordinator of the department.

Application Fee

Online application fee (SC/ST/CAT-1: Rs. 100/-) should be paid to the University through the online application portal.

How to Apply

• The online application portal is available on the University website: https://bangaloreuniversity.karnataka.gov.in.
• Pay the application fee online and submit the online application form.
• Candidates shall submit a hard copy of one filled application form to the concerned Department of Bangalore University on or before 5:00 PM on 24.08.2026.
• Only those candidates who have submitted the application through online mode will have their hard copy received by the University.
