Andhra University – Project Fellow (Reliability Engineer)
Andhra University invites applications to fill a Project Fellow position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, A.U. College of Engineering (A), Visakhapatnam, for the project "Reliability prediction of mechanical subsystems of UW vehicles" (funded by NSTL). Tenure: 18 months.

Essential Qualification
B.E. / M.Tech. / Ph.D. with specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Computational Engineering or a related discipline, with a first-class academic record from an IIT/NIT-recognized university. Familiarity with structural finite element analysis and computational mechanics.
Desirable
Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis; probabilistic reliability methods (FORM, SORM, MCS, Subset Simulation); limit-state function authoring; standards cross-check for structural reliability; probabilistic design of experiments; interpretation of NSWC, NPRD, ASME, DNV, BIS, BS, ISO, ASTM/OERDA standards.
