AMU Assistant Professor (Urdu) Contractual Recruitment 2026 – Local Advertisement No. 02/2026
The Faculty of Arts, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) invites online applications for one post of Assistant Professor (Contractual) in Urdu at the Women's College, AMU, Aligarh (Local Advertisement No. 02/2026 dated 24.08.2026). The appointment will be purely temporary till the end of the Academic Session 2026-2027 or till the GSC is held, whichever is earlier.

Essential Qualification
Eligibility (A or B):
- A: Master's degree with 55% marks in Urdu (or equivalent grade) from an Indian University / equivalent foreign degree, AND cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET, OR awarded Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (exempted from NET/SLET/SET).
- B: Ph.D. degree from a foreign university ranked among top 500 in World University Ranking (QS/THE/ARWU).

Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) per application, payable online at the Careers Portal. PwD candidates are exempted (with valid Disability Certificate).
