Eligibility & Qualifications

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.
• Essential Qualification (Option A): Master's degree with minimum 55% (or equivalent grade) in the concerned subject (Political Science, History, Economics, Library & Information Science) from an Indian University.
• In addition, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) / SLET / SET, or hold a Ph.D. (see Option B) with the required publications and viva‑voce.
• Option B (Ph.D. exemption): Ph.D. obtained in regular mode (Indian or foreign university ranked in top‑500 in QS, THE or ARWU) with at least two research papers (one in a refereed journal) and two conference presentations. Candidates meeting these conditions are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
• Age limit: Maximum 35 years (relaxation as per UGC/Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged/Ex‑servicemen).

Salary & Tenure

Fixed monthly remuneration: Rs. 40,000 (contractual). The appointment is temporary until the end of the Academic Session 2026‑27 and may be terminated at any time without notice.
