AIIMS Raipur – State Newborn Care Quality Manager (UNICEF QI Project)

AIIMS Raipur, Chhattisgarh invites applications for the post of State Newborn Care Quality Manager in a Quality Improvement project funded by UNICEF, titled “Improving Maternal and Newborn Health Care” (UNICEF QI), purely on a contractual basis. No. OW/UNICEFQI/IT/2026/2262 dated 27/10/2026. This is a re-advertisement.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

The candidate must possess:

• MBBS / any other Medical Graduate with post-graduation in Pediatrics (MD/DNB/DCH).
• Highly proficient in MS Office and well versed with handling large data sets.
• Command over statistical software packages such as SPSS / STATA / CSPro / DevInfo / Epi Info.
• Ability to make oral and written presentations on technical issues.
• Good writing skills; report writing experience preferred.
• Good command over English and Hindi.

Programme Area and Objective

AIIMS Raipur, in collaboration with UNICEF Raipur, is moving forward on improving maternal and newborn child health care delivery using a quality improvement (QI) intervention package. The objective of the assignment is to provide technical support for database management, supportive supervision and teleround for QI on improving maternal and newborn child health care delivery.

Job Responsibilities

1. Contribute in the State newborn AMR consortium as per need and as suggested by the supervisor.
2. Facilitate data collection, compilation, analysis and review related to the project area.
3. Regular coordination with District teams to promote quality and timely data support.
4. Field level supportive supervision / hand holding to ensure timely and standard data-based operations.
5. Do daily teleround of IOSNCU.
6. Help the PI in conducting trainings on QI, ETAT/HDU and newborn care, and any other work assigned by the PI.
7. Analyse the data, identify the gaps and facilitate implementation of suggestive inputs to get optimum quality data outputs.
8. Coordination with different stakeholders for implementation of project interventions.
9. Any other task assigned by the supervisor / technical reporting person.

• The application must be properly typed and signed; no change in serial number order or column headings is permitted. Annexures may be added as separate sheets.
• Two recent self-signed passport-sized colour photographs are to be attached, stapled/pinned to the first page.
• One set of self-attested Xerox copies of all relevant certificates, the first page of all scientific publications (only PubMed indexed) and experience certificates, if any, must be attached.
• It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to track the application; the undersigned is not responsible for postal delay.

Selection Procedure

• Applications received will be scrutinised by the selection committee.
• Recruitment will be made through interview; a written test will be conducted if the eligible candidates are more than 50 per post.
• Selection is based purely on merit.

Terms and Conditions

• All vacancies are for a fixed tenure of 02 months, extendible by 1 year or more on a contractual basis, and are not employment on the AIIMS Raipur pay roll. Employment terminates automatically upon completion of the 02 months from the day of joining, with no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS Raipur or the Principal Investigator; candidates have no right to claim permanent employment.
• The contract can be extended to a maximum of 12 more months depending on the candidate’s performance.
