All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur invites applications from Indian nationals for engagement of Medical Physicist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine on a contractual basis for a period of 11 months. No. RC/NF-C-2/MP/2026 dated 14.10.2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential

• Post Graduate degree in Nuclear Medicine or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution, and recognised by AERB, Mumbai.

Desirable

• Experience of 02 years in a Nuclear Medicine department post education qualification.
• RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB.

• The print-out of the duly filled-in application form (Annexure-I), along with a self-attested photocopy of all relevant certificates relating to age, educational qualifications and experience, with a coloured passport size photograph, should be sent through Speed Post / Registered Post to:

• The envelope should be superscribed “Application for the post of Medical Physicist in the department of Nuclear Medicine, AIIMS Raipur.”
• The application must reach on or before 28-10-2026, 5:00 pm. Applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected; the Institute is not responsible for postal delay.
• Incomplete application forms will be summarily rejected.

Selection

Final selection shall be carried out based solely on the marks obtained in the interview. The date of interview shall be published on the Institute website in due course; no separate intimation will be issued.

Important Conditions

• Age and all other qualifications will be counted as on the last date of application.
• The vacancies are provisional and subject to variation; the Executive Director reserves the right to vary the vacancies, including reserved vacancies, as per Government of India rules.
• Reservation and relaxation for ST/SC/OBC/EWS are as per Central Government rules, with 4% reservation for PwBD candidates on a horizontal basis.
• OBC candidates must produce a Non-Creamy Layer certificate based on income for FY 2026-27 (income up to the financial year ending 31.03.2026), issued on or after 01.04.2026 and up to 28.10.2026, in the Central Government format.
• EWS certificate must be for employment in the Central Government, based on the income of FY 2025-2026, issued between 01.04.2026 and 28.10.2026, valid for FY 2026-2027 (DoPT O.M. dated 31.01.2019 format).
• EWS posts will not be carried forward as backlog vacancies; other category candidates (UR/OBC/SC/ST) may apply provisionally for such posts and will be considered as UR candidates.
• PwBD reservation/relaxation is admissible per the PwD Act, 2016 and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021.
• Ex-servicemen/Commissioned Officers seeking age relaxation must produce a Discharge Book or documents issued by the competent authority.
• Persons working in Govt./Semi-Govt. organisations, corporations, autonomous institutes or PSUs must submit a NOC from their present employer along with the application.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
• The appointment is purely on contract; the appointee is not entitled to PF, pension, gratuity, medical attendance treatment, seniority, promotion or any other benefit available to regular Government servants, and has no claim or right for regular appointment.
• The appointment may be terminated at any time by either side with one month’s notice or one month’s salary.
• If an appointee wishes to resign within the first 03 months of joining, neither a No Objection Certificate nor a Relieving/Experience Certificate will be issued.
• The appointee shall be on whole-time appointment and shall not engage in private practice of any kind.
• Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
