AIIMS Raipur – ICMR TERIIP Phase II, Department of Biochemistry – 4 Posts

AIIMS Raipur invites eligible Indian nationals to attend a walk-in interview for various posts on a temporary and contractual basis for a financially approved research project funded by ICMR, titled “Expression of Interest (EOI): ICMR’s Taskforce on Establishment of Reference Intervals in Indian Population (TERIIP Phase II): A Multicentric Observational Cross-Sectional Study among Child and Adolescent Population (<18 years)”, for a period of six months, extendable on a half-yearly basis based on performance. Ref. AIIMS/RPR/SP/ICMR/TERIIP-II/2026/8624 dated 23-10-2026.

Posts, Qualifications and Emoluments

Desirable

• Project Research Scientist-I: experience in Research & Development related to Biomedical Sciences relevant to the job requirement in a Govt./Public Sector/Private Institution; working knowledge of computer applications.
• Project Technician-III (Medical): Lab Technician or equivalent with job or research experience; working knowledge of computer applications.
• Candidates should be able to talk fluently in Chhattisgarhi, Hindi and English.

Key Duties

Project Research Scientist-I — office work (maintain proper documentation, prepare reports); field work (lead the team at the field, conduct house-to-house visits for eligible participants, coordinate with the concerned Government Health Centre for the survey); monitor data collection; participant preparation; case report form entry; participant education; informed consent; maintain a clean and safe environment with comfort and psychological support to participants; advise on collection and labelling of samples and storage; screening participants and assisting in investigations and anthropometric measurements; report writing and timely submission; quality management to ensure data integrity.

Project Technician-III (Medical) — office and field work as above; sampling: to collect blood samples from the patient and labelling and storage of participants’ samples; must have experience in collection of blood samples in children and neonates; help the PRS-B to screen participants and assist in investigations if required and anthropometric measurements; timely submission of notes and reports; any other job assigned by the PI.

Project Nurse-III — file preparation and documentation; field work including house-to-house visits and coordination with Government Health Centres; participant preparation, education and informed consent; case report form entry; quality management to ensure data integrity; maintain a clean and safe environment with comfort and psychological support to participants.

Selection Method

• Selection will be based on grading in three domains: qualification; experience in research work / relevant field-based project; and score obtained in the interview.
• In case of a tie in the final marks, seniority on the basis of date of birth will be considered.
• The eligible/selected/waiting candidates list will be floated on the AIIMS Raipur website only on or before 09/11/2026 (within a week of the interview).
• Qualified shortlisted candidates must check the AIIMS Raipur website and reach the specified venue. Requests for interviews through video-conferencing will not be entertained.

Terms and Conditions

• These are tenure posts for a fixed duration under an ICMR funded research project, purely temporary and co-terminus with the project; contractual for the duration offered and may or may not be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and requirement.
• The rates of emoluments shown are project specific and may vary according to the sanction of the funding agency.
• Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organisation are not eligible to apply.
• No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview or personal discussion; candidates must arrange their own transport and accommodation.
• The crucial date for calculation of age limit and experience is the last date of submission of application; experience will be counted after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification.
• In the absence of candidates meeting the essential qualification/experience, the posts may be filled at a lower level commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidates, at the discretion of the selection committee.
• All educational qualifications must be from a recognised board/university. All community certificates must be issued by authorised Government officers.

• The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possession does not entitle any candidate to selection; incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
