AIIMS Kalyani Junior Resident (Non-Academic) Recruitment 2026

AIIMS Kalyani (West Bengal) has published Advertisement No. 1650/E-12015/25/26-(SR/T/JR) dated 31.07.2026 inviting applications for engagement of Junior Resident (Non-Academic) on tenure basis for a period of 6 months at various departments of AIIMS, Kalyani. Selection will be through Written Examination and / or Personal Interview scheduled on 08.09.2026 (tentative). Online registration closes on 24.08.2026, 5:00 PM.

About AIIMS Kalyani

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani (WB) has been established as an Institute of National Importance and is one of the new upcoming AIIMS and apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). The institute aims to correct regional imbalance in quality tertiary-level healthcare and attain self-sufficiency in graduate, postgraduate and higher medical education and training.

Vacancy Details

Depending on requirement, the decision of the authorities to increase / decrease the number of seats / posts shall be final.

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: MBBS from an institute recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Internship: Must have completed compulsory rotating internship and must produce Internship Completion Certificate.
• Registration: Must be registered under any State Medical Council / NMC.
• Pass-out Recency: Candidates who have passed MBBS (including internship) not earlier than 03 (three) years before the start date of Junior Residency i.e. 24 August, 2026 will be considered.
• Ineligibility: Candidates who have already done 2 terms of Junior Residency (Non-Academic) either at AIIMS or outside will not be considered.
• Equivalent Experience: Experience in Army services, Central Health Services, Private Nursing Homes & Private practice will be taken as equivalent to Junior Residency (Non-Academic).

Note: Term of JR (Non-Acad.) is 6 months. If anyone joins and leaves at any time it will be counted as one term irrespective of duration of work. For each term, the candidate(s) is required to submit his/her application separately.

Age Limit

Maximum 33 years as on the last date of submission of the application (24.08.2026). Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWBD as per DoPT instructions. No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

Pay Scale / Remuneration

Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400 (6th CPC) as per AIIMS norms.

Application Fee

• Fee to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of "AIIMS KALYANI INTERNAL RESOURCES ACCOUNT" payable at Kalyani.
• Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Applications without the prescribed fee will not be considered and summarily rejected.

Selection Process

1. Written Exam conducted on 08.09.2026 (tentative) in the Examination Hall, Ground Floor, Auditorium Building, AIIMS Kalyani.
2. Personal Interview of candidates qualified in the written examination (date to be intimated in due course).
3. Selection will be based on the performance in the Personal Interview of qualified candidates in the written examination only.

Reservation

• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/EWS as per rules.
• OBC-NCL certificate should be issued on or after 01.04.2026 but not later than the last date of submission of the application.
• EWS certificate should be issued on or after 01.04.2026 but not later than the last date of submission of the application.
• Reservation for PWBD candidates is 4% (on horizontal basis) as per GoI guidelines.

2. During registration, upload the following documents (mandatory):
   • MBBS Mark Sheets (1st, 2nd, 3rd and final year) & Certificates
   • Proof of MBBS Exam Attempts
   • Permanent Medical Registration Certificate
   • MBBS Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate
   • Internship Completion Certificate
   • One Recent Passport Size Photograph
   • Aadhaar Card
   • Email ID & Contact Number
   • Age proof
   • Category Certificate (if applicable)
   • Scan copy of Demand Draft
3. Candidates whose compulsory rotating internship will be completed on or before 24.08.2026 are eligible to apply and appear in the written exam / interview. Such candidates must produce the original Internship Completion Certificate with one xerox copy on the day of the Written Exam / Interview.
4. Bring the application in the prescribed format along with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies on the day of the Written Exam / Interview.
5. Candidates working in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSU must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer.

Terms & Conditions (Highlights)

• Appointment is purely on tenure basis initially for 6 months; no right to claim regular appointment or permanent absorption.
• The appointment is whole-time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.
• Tenure engagement can be terminated at any time by the Institute; employee can leave by giving 01 (one) month notice or salary in lieu thereof.
• Selected candidates must join within 30 days of issue of the Offer of Appointment.
