Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the following post on a purely temporary basis in the Extramural Research project titled “National Survey on Extent and Pattern of Substance Use in India” under the Regional Principal Investigator for Rajasthan, Dr. Navratan Suthar, Additional Professor, Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS Jodhpur.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India, coordinated and implemented by the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), AIIMS New Delhi, with AIIMS Jodhpur serving as the Regional Technical Agency (RTA) for the State of Rajasthan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the regional investigators in implementing project activities across Rajasthan.
• Coordinate capacity-building activities across Rajasthan.
• Conduct field visits for monitoring and revalidation of data collection for HHS and RDS components.
• Supervise and manage data collection.
• Prepare, compile and ensure timely submission of progress reports to NDDTC.
• Organise meetings related to project activities.
• Support the regional investigators in planning and conducting state-level training programmes for survey field teams across Rajasthan, in coordination with NDDTC and state implementation agencies.
• Assist the Project Research Scientist in any work related to the project.
• Any other project-related work assigned by the Regional Principal Investigator.

Documents to be carried on the interview day

• Duly filled application in the prescribed format, along with bio-data.
• All relevant original documents.
• One set of self-attested photocopies of documents regarding age, qualifications, relevant experience, etc.
• All essential qualification and experience certificates must be enclosed with the application form; otherwise the application will be considered incomplete.

General terms

• Reporting time starts at 07 October 2026 (Wednesday) at 09:00 AM; the closing time to report for the interview is 10:00 AM on the same day, after which no additional candidates will be entertained.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, with no right to claim permanent employment under AIIMS Jodhpur or continuation in any other project.
• All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognised Board or University and full-time; the experience specified should be acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualification.
• Persons working in a Government or Public Sector undertaking must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of the interview.
• No TA/DA will be admissible to appear for the interview.
• Age concession for service rendered in other research projects may be admissible for experienced and skilled persons on a case-to-case basis (applicable to ICMR projects only).
• Age, educational qualification and experience will be considered up to the last date of the advertisement.
• The contract service will not confer any right to further assignment or regular appointment in the institute.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification. No enquiries will be entertained after the due date.
