Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the post of Project Nurse-II (Project Staff Nurse) on a purely temporary basis in the ICMR, Delhi sponsored project entitled “Impact of multipronged interventions targeting healthcare professionals in reducing surgical site infections and identifying the challenges in adoption of these interventions”. The work will be reviewed annually and further extension will be provided, with the total duration of the project being 2 years.

Desirable qualifications

• Previous experience in handling clinical projects related to the medical field.
• Basic knowledge about antimicrobials, and interpretation of patient file and culture reports.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other internet programs.
• Well-versed in local languages (Rajasthani and Hindi) and English (oral and written).
• Knowledge of REDCap; its use will be given preference.

Nature of work

• Data collection of surgical patients, both emergency and elective procedures.
• Interviews from healthcare professionals.
• Follow-up of patients for surgical site infections.
• Contact with healthcare professionals, including the surgical team, for outcome.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Point of contact for coordinating various day-to-day activities in consultation with the project investigators.
• Actively participate in finalisation of study tools, recruitment of study participants, development of content, data collection, record keeping, implementation of the study and other project-related activities.
• Implement the research protocol, including recruiting research subjects, conducting in-depth interviews, qualitative data coding, maintaining follow-up records and data entry.
• Organise time-to-time sensitisation and training activities as required for the project.
• Compile results, upload data (e-CRF) to the database and finalise the report.
• Update the Principal Investigator regarding progress of the project on a timely basis, and coordinate with PIs and Co-PIs of other sites.
• Accomplish all work assigned by the project investigators; candidature may be terminated if performance is not satisfactory.

• One passport-size photograph.
• Self-attested photocopies of documents pertaining to educational qualification and experience.
• Application form in the prescribed format.
• All educational and experience documents in original.

General terms

• The post is purely temporary for the sanctioned project and duration; the appointment is co-terminus with the project and confers no right to permanent employment under ICMR or AIIMS Jodhpur, or continuation in any other project.
• Reporting time is 07 October 2026 at 11:00 AM, after which no additional candidates will be entertained.
• Candidates must appear in person with the filled application in the prescribed format and bio-data, all relevant original documents, and one set of self-attested photocopies of documents regarding age, qualifications and relevant experience.
• No TA/DA or any other allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
• The appointment may be cancelled at any time in case of misconduct, unsatisfactory work, or if the candidate is found ineligible later.
• Age, educational qualification and experience will be considered up to the date of the interview.
• All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognised Board or University and full-time; the experience specified should be acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualification.
• Persons working in a Government or Public Sector undertaking must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of the interview.
• The salary is a consolidated sum without any other benefits, and is based on the experience, qualifications and skill set of the candidate.
• The number of posts may be increased, decreased or withdrawn at the discretion of the Competent Authority, AIIMS Jodhpur, or the funding agency (ICMR, Delhi).
