Reservations as per Govt. of India rules. 7 posts (01 Professor-HH, 01 Addl. Professor-Locomotor, 01 Associate Professor-HH, 04 Assistant Professor) earmarked for PwBD (horizontal reservation).

Essential Qualifications

Professor / Additional Professor / Associate Professor

Medical Candidates (General Discipline):

• Medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of Third Schedule of IMC Act 1956.
• MD/MS or recognized equivalent in respective discipline.
• Experience: Professor – 14 years; Additional Professor – 10 years; Associate Professor – 6 years teaching/research after PG degree.

Medical Candidates (Super Specialty):

• MD/MS + DM/M.Ch. (2/3/5/6 years recognized course) in respective specialty.
• Experience: Professor – 12/11 years; Additional Professor – 8/7 years; Associate Professor – 4/3 years (varies by course duration).

Non-Medical Candidates:

• Master's Degree in concerned specialty + Doctorate Degree.
• Experience: Professor – 14 years; Additional Professor – 10 years; Associate Professor – 6 years after Doctorate Degree.

Assistant Professor

• Medical qualification included in Schedule I & II of IMC Act 1956.
• MD/MS in respective discipline (or DM/M.Ch. for super specialties).
• Experience: 3 years teaching/research after PG degree (1 year for super specialty; none for 3-year/6-year DM/M.Ch. holders).
• Non-Medical: Master's + Doctorate + 3 years teaching/research.

Note: DNB/DrNB holders must provide equivalence proof as per NMC notification dated 31.10.2018.

Age Limit (as on closing date)

• Professor / Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years
• Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years
• PwBD relaxation: 5 years (all categories)

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting based on bio-data and qualifications.
2. Personal Interview at AIIMS Jodhpur.
3. Minimum cut-off marks: UR/EWS – 60%; OBC – 55%; SC/ST/PwBD – 50%.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Important Notes

• Age and qualifications counted as on closing date (12 Sep 2026).
• OCI cardholders under section 7(A) of Citizenship Act, 1955 are eligible.
• Probation period: 2 years.
• All posts carry usual allowances as per Central Government rules at Jodhpur.
• Private practice of any kind is prohibited.
• NOC mandatory for employed candidates (upload at time of registration).
• SC/ST candidates may get up to 1 year relaxation in experience at discretion of competent authority.
• All disputes subject to jurisdiction of courts at Jodhpur.
