AIIMS Vijaypur, Jammu invites applications for a project post (purely contractual) under the ICMR funded National Health Research Priority (NHRP) project "Strategies for Enhanced Population Engagement and Health Care Seeking for Prevention and Control of Hypertension and Diabetes in India: The STEPS-INDIA Multi-Centre Study".

Post: Project Technical Support-II - 1 post (OBC)
Contract: 12 months initially, extendable based on performance/project requirement/budget
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (as on last date of advertisement)
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 20,000 + 10% HRA = Rs. 22,000/- per month
Expected Joining: Tentatively 4th week of August 2026
Place of Posting: AIIMS Vijaypur campus; extensive travel in Samba district and other study sites/ICMR headquarters
Selection: Shortlisting (ratio 10:1) based on academic performance, research and public health experience; interview in person at AIIMS Jammu Campus; syllabus covers NCD epidemiology, hypertension, diabetes, research methodology, epidemiology, project management, quantitative/qualitative data management and analysis
Key Responsibilities: Health facility assessments and community-level surveys; data collection including transcription and translation of interviews; organize community engagement activities during trial phase; mobilize community champions and local resources; quality data management (monitoring, verification, follow-up); assist training of Community Health Workers and volunteers; coordinate with project partners and local health authorities; prepare field reports and progress updates.
Note: OBC candidates must submit valid NCL-OBC certificate issued after 01.04.2026. No TA for interview/joining. NOC required if employed in govt or other funded projects. Leave as per ICMR guidelines.
