AIIMS Guwahati ICMR-MINDS Project Recruitment 2026 (Advt. No. AIIMSG/CFM/ICMRMINDS/2026/100, dated 19/09/2026)

Applications are invited for Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) x1 and Project Technical Support-III x1, purely on contractual basis in the extramural project “ICMR Multistate Implementation research study on integration of screening and management of mental and substance use disorders with other Non-communicable diseases (ICMR-MINDS)” (ICMR, GoI; PI: Dr. Limalemla Jamir). Sanctioned up to one year; appointment temporary for one year, extendable on performance till project end.

Eligibility

Post 1: Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) — 01 post, Rs.67,000 + 20% HRA, max age 40 years

Essential (A+B OR A+C):

• PG degree in Public Health / Epidemiology / Biostatistics / Psychology / Social Work / Community Development / Community Health Nursing from a UGC/AICTE-recognised university or institution, and
• At least 3 years of research work experience in projects funded by national agencies (ICMR / DHR / ANRF / DBT), or
• Completed PhD in the above-mentioned fields from a UGC/AICTE-recognised university / institution of national importance.

Desirable:

• At least 1 year experience in community health / mental healthcare settings.
• MPhil holders need minimum 6 months of research project work experience.
• At least 2 original research publications in PubMed/Scopus-indexed journals as first or corresponding author.
• At least 1 systematic review (with or without meta-analysis), published or accepted, in a PubMed/Scopus-indexed journal.
• At least 1 qualitative research publication in a PubMed/Scopus-indexed journal with 2-year impact factor above 1.0.
• Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS / STATA / R) — evaluated in skills test.
• Proficiency in referencing and citation software — evaluated in skills test.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related digital tools — evaluated in skills test.
• Fluency (spoken and written) in English and Assamese.

Post 2: Project Technical Support-III — 01 post, Rs.28,000 + 20% HRA, max age 35 years

Essential (A+B OR C):

• Three-year graduate degree in Public Health / Epidemiology / Social Work / Nursing / Community or Rural Development / Psychology, and 3 years of experience, or
• Post-graduate degree in the above-mentioned fields.

Desirable:

• PG degree holders with at least 6 months of research project experience.
• At least 1 year experience in community health / mental healthcare settings.
• Hands-on experience with statistical and/or qualitative data analysis.
• Well-versed in MS Office applications and related digital tools.
• Hands-on proficiency with mobile data-collection apps.
• Experience in preparing and contributing to research publications in indexed, peer-reviewed journals.
• Fluency (spoken and written) in English and Assamese.

Terms:

• No TA/DA will be paid.
• Prepared for extensive travel within Assam (field-based project); occasional work beyond regular duty hours.
• Age relaxation admissible as per Government of India guidelines.
• No claim to regular appointment or absorption in AIIMS Guwahati.
• Contract terminable by either side with 30 days notice or salary in lieu thereof.
