AIIMS Bhubaneswar Research Officer Walk-in Interview 2026 – 01 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar invites applications in the prescribed format for the post of Research Officer sanctioned under the project entitled “Regional Institute for HIV Surveillance & Epidemiology” under Dr Arvind Kumar Singh, Additional Professor, AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The position is purely temporary and contractual basis.

Vacancy Details

Essential Qualification

• Master of Public Health / Psychology / Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology / Rural Development or related areas with two years of research experience; OR
• Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees with PhD in Public Health / Psychology / Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology / Rural Development or related areas.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working with high-risk groups or hard-to-reach population with good communication skills in Odia, English, and Hindi.
• Experience in working on projects/programs at the state level.
• Skills in planning and conducting research/survey-related training programmes.
• Willing to travel to and stay in different states.
• Good communication and rapport-building skills with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring and Evaluation of multi-state HIV related surveillance and field activities.
• Supporting program implementation.
• Coordination with stakeholders (NACO, SACS, district health authorities and personnel of healthcare facilities).
• Capacity building — planning, coordinating and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
• Conducting data quality assessments and data analysis.
• Undertaking reports, advertisement, technical and scientific writing, publications and PowerPoint presentations.
• Any additional project-related work assigned by the PI.

• Date: 19th August 2026 (Wednesday).
• Reporting Time: 10 AM to 12 Noon.
• Venue: Room No. 317, 3rd Floor, CM & FM Department, Academic Building, AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

Important Instructions

• The position is purely temporary contractual appointment. No claim for regularization.
• Age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per government rules.
• Cut-off date for age limit will be the date of Walk-In-Interview.
• Persons already in regular time-scale service under any Government Department/Organizations are not eligible to apply.
• Contract appointee shall not have any claim on a regular post in this institute or Funding Agency or any Department of Government of India.
• Benefits of Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, etc. are not admissible.
• The engagement can be terminated at any time by giving one month notice on either side.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.
• The decision of the Director, AIIMS Bhubaneswar will be final and binding.
