Sarthee Consultancy, a premier recruitment firm, invites applications for the position of AGM / DGM Mechanical (Coke Oven & CDQ) for a leading Iron & Steel company based in Mumbai.

Position Details

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Maintenance Management: Lead and oversee maintenance and reliability activities for Coke Oven, CDQ (Coke Dry Quenching), and By-Product Plant equipment including pusher cars, charging cars, transfer cars, quenching cars, compressors, conveyors, crushers, fans, and hydraulic systems.
• Equipment Availability: Ensure maximum equipment availability and safe operations to meet production targets.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, conduct vibration analysis, lubrication audits, and thermography checks.
• Root Cause Analysis: Analyze breakdown trends, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and initiate corrective actions for long-term reliability improvement.
• Team Management: Lead a team of engineers and technicians for shift maintenance and shutdown planning.
• Budgeting & Spares Management: Manage maintenance budgets, spares inventory, and vendor coordination.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations in all maintenance activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of Coke Oven, CDQ, and By-Product Plant in a steel plant.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and material handling equipment.
• Experience with SAP PM module is preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
