Diploma Apprentice (15): Full-time three year regular Diploma in Engineering in Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Tele Communication and Technical streams / equivalent disciplines, recognized by AICTE. Breakup: Civil 5, Electrical 6, Electronics & Tele Communication 3, Technical 1.
ITI Trade Apprentice (6): ITI NCVT certificate in concerned/equivalent trade (Electrical/Electrician, Electronics & Mechanics, COPA) awarded by the Directorate General of Training, Govt. of India. Breakup: Electrical 2, Electronics & Mechanics 2, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) 2.
Eligibility: Candidates must be Indian Nationals having domicile of West Bengal. Candidates who passed Degree/Diploma/ITI in 2022 or after 2022 are eligible.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years as on 24.08.2026. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PwD etc. as per Govt. of India guidelines.
Stipend: Graduate Apprentice Rs. 15,000/- per month (Rs. 8,850/- AAI share + Rs. 6,150/- Govt. share under DBT scheme); Diploma Apprentice Rs. 12,000/- per month (Rs. 6,550/- + Rs. 5,450/-); ITI Trade Apprentice Rs. 10,560/- per month (by AAI) / Rs. 9,600/- per month for COPA.
Ineligibility: Candidates who have already completed or terminated their apprenticeship midway, or are pursuing apprenticeship in other organizations or in AAI at the same qualification level, shall not be eligible. Candidates having apprenticeship training/job experience of 1 year or more after attainment of essential qualifications shall not be eligible.
Selection Process: Vacancies for Graduate & Diploma Apprentices are advertised through BOPT/NATS website and for ITI Trade Apprentices through RDAT/NAPS website. Provisional selection based on percentage of marks in the required educational qualification. Shortlisted candidates called for Interview/Document Verification through registered email ID. Final selection based on verification of certificates and submission of Medical Fitness Certificate (from a Government Medical Officer).
No Application Fee is charged. Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered. No TA/DA will be provided for document verification/interview/joining.
Note: Apprenticeship training shall be at the Office of the Airport Director, AAI, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata only. This training does not confer any right to regular/contractual employment in AAI.
