RRB ALP & Group D 2026 Guide: CBT, CBAT, PET Patterns & E-Call Letters
RRB Assistant Loco Pilot and Level-1 (Group D) selections share the RRB login system (city slip ~10 days before, e-call letter ~4 days before) but differ after CBT. ALP adds a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT); Group D adds a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
ALP Track
- CBT-1 (screening) → CBT-2 (trade + general) with 1/3rd negative marking and normalization.
- CBAT – must clear each test battery separately (English/Hindi only, no negative marking); check RDSO patterns.
- DV and medical (A-1 vision standards for running posts) follow.
Group D Track
- Single CBT (Maths, Reasoning, General Science, Current Affairs) with 1/3rd negative marking and normalization.
- PET – weight-carry/lifting and race events per gender within qualifying time; then DV and medical.
E-Call Letters & Preparation
- Download per stage from rrbapply.gov.in or regional RRB sites; complete Aadhaar authentication early.
- ALP: prioritise trade theory + CBAT practice sets. Group D: build PET stamina alongside CBT mocks.
