CTET admit card timeline (indicative)
The CTET cycle follows a tightly defined schedule. Because the examination crores of candidates in a single day, CBSE staggers the document releases: first the exam-city intimation slip so that outstation candidates can plan travel, then the full admit card carrying the reporting time, exam-centre address and photograph. How to download the CTET admit card
CTET admit cards are login-based. CBSE does not distribute region-wise direct PDF lists for CTET; every candidate must open their own candidate login and download the hall ticket. Follow these steps:
- Open the official CTET portal at ctet.nic.in and look for the “Candidate Activity” or “Admit Card / Examination” section for the current cycle.
- Click the admit card link for the cycle you applied for and choose the candidate login option.
- Log in with your candidate credentials — usually your registration/application number (or candidate ID) plus the password/DOB combination you set during the application.
- Enter the additional security pin shown on screen, then complete the CAPTCHA if one is displayed.
- When the dashboard opens, select the “Admit Card” link. The admit card will be generated as a PDF on screen.
- Carefully verify your name, father's name, photograph, signature, category, exam-centre address, city code, reporting time, paper opted (Paper I / Paper II / both) and the exam instructions printed on it.
- Download the PDF, then take one or two clear black-and-white or colour printouts on A4 sheets. Keep one printout for the exam day and one as a spare.
- If the admit card link is not live yet, check the exam city intimation slip link first — the city slip is published earlier and confirms your allotted city.

CTET exam pattern and exam day instructions
Both papers are 150-question, 150-mark objective tests of 150 minutes each. There is no negative marking in CTET. The marking scheme awards one mark per correct answer.

Documents mandatory on the exam day:
- Printout of the CTET admit card with a clearly visible photograph.
- Original valid photo ID as specified in the admit card (Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, driving licence or PAN card) plus a photocopy for submission where asked.

What to do if the admit card is not yet released
If you cannot see your admit card, first confirm that the cycle has actually reached the admit-card stage. Check the “News & Announcements” or candidate-activity area on ctet.nic.in for the notification of the exam date and the admit card release notice. Since the exam city intimation slip is issued earlier than the admit card, downloading your city slip confirms your allotted city and gives you time to arrange travel and accommodation. Check only the official portal early in the morning and late in the evening in the days around the expected release date, because high traffic frequently slows the site. If your application was rejected due to incomplete documents or unpaid fees, no admit card will be generated — such cases are listed in the rejection notice published after the correction window closes. Q: I have forgotten my CTET candidate login password. How do I open my admit card?
A: Use the “Forgot Password” link on the CTET candidate login. You can reset the password using your registered e-mail ID and mobile number. If those are inaccessible, contact the CTET facilitation centres listed in the information bulletin with your application number and ID proof ready.
Q: There is a spelling mistake in my name on the admit card. Will I be allowed into the exam?
